Hello! I am Hajar Owrang, a psychologist and psychological counselor.
I have been blind since birth and have been living in Romania since 1999. Perhaps my life experience has taught me to pay closer attention to the things we cannot see with our eyes, but which we can feel, listen to, and understand.
To me, every person has a story. Sometimes, behind a smile, fatigue is hidden. Other times, behind the desire to succeed lies the fear of disappointing. And there are moments when you have so much to carry that you forget to ask yourself: "How am I, really? What do I need?"
Precisely for this reason, I want the people who come to me to find a space where they can speak openly about what they are experiencing, without the fear of being judged.
Since 2021, I have been working online in my own practice. I like to listen, to ask questions that help you understand yourself better, and to explore together with you ways in which you can cope with the challenges you are facing.
Psychology is not just my profession. It is a field that I am passionate about and in which I want to continue learning, researching, and discovering new ways of being alongside people.
Outside of my professional activity, I love music, cooking, reading, writing, and learning foreign languages. I like to discover new things and understand how our experiences, emotions, and the environment we live in influence us.
From these passions and my experience, Vita Senses Therapy was born—a project in which I am developing an approach that integrates psychotherapy and psychological counseling with music, sounds, creativity, and sensory experiences.
I believe that every person deserves to be heard and understood, and the path to change can begin when they find a place where they feel safe to talk about what concerns them. In my work as a psychologist and psychological counselor, I want to help you better understand what you are experiencing, explore your emotions, and find the resources you need to face your challenges.
I am particularly interested in female entrepreneurs who have built a business and who, while trying to keep everything under control, end up dealing with stress, anxiety, or burnout.
Perhaps you have a business that you built with a lot of hard work and dedication. You have responsibilities, deadlines to meet, clients, and many decisions to make.
Perhaps others see you as a strong person, but you sometimes feel tired of always being the one who finds solutions.
Or perhaps you find it hard to stop, even when you need a break, because your mind keeps working.
If you recognize yourself in these situations, I want you to know that you don't have to wait until things are very difficult to start taking care of yourself.
Your needs matter too. Not just those of your business, your family, or the people around you.
In my work with people, I place emphasis on listening, empathy, and understanding each person's experience. I do not believe there is only one story or a single solution that fits everyone. Therefore, it is important to understand what you are experiencing, what concerns you, and what you need to change.
One thing that sets me apart is the way I use my creativity and passions to develop Vita Senses Therapy.
In this approach, I integrate music, sounds, creativity, and other sensory experiences as working tools, alongside psychological methods suited to the therapeutic process.
This is not about replacing communication or the therapeutic relationship, but about exploring other ways of working when they are suitable for the person I am working with.
My life experience as a blind person has also given me a personal perspective on how we can discover the world through sounds, smells, textures, and imagination. These experiences have contributed to my interest in how senses and creativity can be integrated into the psychological working process.
What do I want you to find in working with me?
•A space where you can speak openly about what you feel.
•A person who will listen to you without rushing you and without judging you.
•An approach attentive to your story, your needs, and your pace.
•Support to better understand the challenges you face and to explore ways to cope with them.
•Openness to creativity and new ways of exploring your experiences, when these are right for you.
I do not promise that all difficulties will disappear overnight. Instead, I propose that we look at them closely and explore together what can help you.
For me, every person is more than the problem they bring to the office. They are a person with experiences, emotions, resources, desires, and the potential to discover new perspectives.
And sometimes, the first step is not having all the answers.
It is giving yourself permission to talk about what weighs on you and to start listening to yourself as well.
